This Sofa Shark (Pseudotriakis microdon) was caught off the coast of Scottland. It’s a rare deep water shark, living in depths of 650 – 6,200 feet! The tend to discover that lots of sharks take deep dives but this one resides pretty deep. It has been a dream of mine to go on a deep water survey… they find the most bizarre fish! They do some of those surveys out of FSU. I’m going to seriously work on getting myself on that boat!
